Where It All Began
For a long time I had this plan in my mind that after I graduated college I would land my dream job, work there for 5 years, learn everything I could from a mentor and launch my dream career. But isn't it like so many of us to have the same aspirations to some extent?
I had planned and mapped it all out to be exactly where I wanted to be. Funny enough our lives is something we can't control. Twists and turns draw us to different directions or land us in a worst situation than what we could have imagined. I am grateful things turned out exactly the way they were meant to be.
Like most people, one day post pandemic, I found myself wondering where is my life going, whats my purpose, what should I be doing for the rest of my days. Until, I sat with a friend one evening and she said "Asis do you have post its and a sharpie at home?" I proceed and said "Yes I do." She went on and said "Great, lets go to your house and plan your future."
This lead to a moment of buckets of inspiration, passion and reality. We created a list of categories I was most passionate about. Maybe a day or two passed when Styled by Asis was born. She became my first client and the rest has been of journey of fun, laughter, struggles, the feeling of defeat and so much encouragement.
I couldn't be more grateful for friends and family that believe in me when I had the hardest time believing in myself for so long. My goal is to inspire others to feel great about themselves like my wonderful friend did for me.
